Sometimes it feels like one step forward, and
then 3 steps back. I’ve been wrestling with the formatting of my email newsletter
for the last several days, trying to reduce the Spam Assassin score that it gets
assigned when I run it through the aWeber checking system. Even though
I’ve scored under a 5, which is their warning point for an email that’s likely
to head to my recipient’s junk mail folder or be blocked in some way by my
recipient’s ISP, it’s best to score a 3 or less for the least amount of delivery
I’ve finally wrangled the score down to a 2.2.
To get there, however, I had to take away some of the more colorful formatting
of this publication. It’s leaner and cleaner and more streamlined, but I miss
the vibrant appearance….:(
