Q: I began studying E-commerce from Prosper Learning.com this past April. I started the process of building my first E-commerce site in May, began online marketing in August and am now page 2 on Google for 2 of my keywords and page 3 for another of my top keywords. My traffic is about 20 visitors per day, but very few are taking action, whether it be purchasing, downloading free audio, filling out our customer survey for free samples or reading nutrtion facts, articles and press releases. How can I convert visitors into buyers, or at least into people who take some kind of action on my web site, www.BestHealthFoodStore.net?
A: When I took a quick look at your site, what I noticed is that you have too many choices on your home page. Rather than trying to convert prospects to sales immediately, your goal should be to get them on your list, as you try to do here: https://www.besthealthfoodstore.net/nutrition_fact_free_audio.html. This sign up box should be on every page of your website, as many of your visitors will enter through your content or product pages, and you want to be able to capture their info regardless of how they enter your site.
You also need to have an attention getting graphic to promote your free giveaway as well as some compelling copy about the benefits of requesting your giveaway and what problem it will solve.
Then, start to market to this list regularly through an email newsletter, autoresponders, or a blog.
