Showing someone exactly what you
see on your screen is sometimes the quickest and clearest way to
communicate. With SnagIt,
you can select anything on your screen — an area, image,
article, Web page, or error message — and capture it. Then,
save the screen capture to a file, send it to SnagIt’s editor to
add professional effects, share it by e-mail, or drop it into
PowerPoint, Word, or another favorite application. And, this
program has a great deal more flexibility than capturing an
image using your PrintScreen key.
My favorite feature of this program is SnagIt’s powerful
built-in editor that lets you crop, resize, adjust color, add
text and apply custom effects to your screen capture without
ever opening another editing application. So, you can circle an
area of a graphic that you want viewers to note, or create a
tear page effect to refer to a web page. See the sample screen
capture that I altered below with a new edge and adding the
arrow and circling the date in red for emphasis. It took me only
a couple of minutes to do this.
